About Seper Arjomandi

Seper was born on Dec 2, 1967 in an artistic family. His father "Reza" introduced him from an early age to the sound of classic guitar. Passionate about Latin-American music, "Reza" taught the young Seper the basic technique of the instrument. As the progressed through the art, he felt special emotion and attachment to the language of Falmenco. Family friends that often traveled to Spain kept him up to music, Spain. Intuitively he knew he could not understand the deep traditions of Flamenco unless he had close contact with very people who invented it; therefore he planned to move to Europe.

After his military service he took up teaching guitar as well. With the help of his close friend Keyvan Mirhadizadeh he gave his first official concert in Parke Shahr, Tehran 1992.

In 1993, he realized his dream and reached Europe. Arriving in Belgium, he quickly entered its word of Flamenco artists. For years, he played with the remarkable guitarist Marquito Velez. Later on, he traveled often to Spain to perfect his style with the best of the master:  Paco Serrano, Manolo Franco, Jose Antonio Rodriguez, Miguel Angel Cortes, Paco Peña, Gerardo Nuñez, Tomatito, Manal Sanlucar, Julio Vallejo, Rafael Andujar, Vicente Amigo, Juan Manuel Cañizares, Enrique de Melchor, Miguel Rivera, Nino de Pura, Rafael Riqueni, and Chicuelo. The next step in his career was a landmark meeting with PACO DE LUCIA, that offered him a rare glimpse on and insight of his stunning technique. The encounter make him realize that the only way to truly understand Flamenco was in accompaniment of real “cante y baile” .He dedicated his entire energy to this effort, working with masters such as: Moraito, Antonio de Palma, Antonio Patrociño, Merengue de Córdoba and others. He has also performed live in concerts thought-out Europe, most recently in Madrid (2002) and Porto (2002).

Seper is most deeply thankful to his father "Reza", the man who has planted the seeds of art in his heart. He is also deeply grateful to the great maestro JULIO VALLEJO, disciple of PACO DE LUCIA, who has given him not only the secrets of the art, but also his human qualities. Their dedication has enabled him to make the great leap into Flamenco guitar, thus realizing his childhood dream.
